Bourjois is all ready to embrace the Summer this year with their hot, new seasonal collection featuring a tropical vibe to get you festival-ready. This new collection is a vibrant collision of colours to channel that cool summer beat. Think electric turquoise blue, deep matte denim blue and exotic hot fuchsia twisted with a vibrant golden khaki. It is the perfect mix of shades and finishes to get you in the festival spirit and ready to dance all night long.

This new collection features three new Contour Clubbing Waterproof Eye Pencils is a trio of sizzling shades - a gorgeous navy blue, a unique powerful, electric blue and the colour of the season, khaki green. There is also a new Color Boost Lip Crayon in Lolli Poppy, a fantastic satsuma orange hue and two new 1 Seconde Nail Polishes in an iridescent golden khaki and a bright fuchsia pink.

Most excitingly however are the two new, limited edition repackaged products which have both had a tropical festival makeover. The fun, funky design of saturated shades and patterns is just gorgeous and will be the perfect addition to your makeup bag this Summer. There is the iconic cult favourite, Delice De Poudre Bronzing Powder, which instantly enhances your tan and gives you that sun kissed glow. And then there is the Volume Clubbing Mascara, one of my favourite mascaras, which will luxe up your lashes and last all night long. It gives extreme volume and is 100% tear and sweat proof, tried, tested and loved by clubbers!

This new collection is available nationwide from Boots and Superdrug stores from 8th June 2016.

Bourjois has gone Fuchsia crazy with the introduction of four new fashion-forward shades to intensify and enhance our lips this season. From bluish reds to rich purples and everything in between, the Bourjois lip collection has just gotten a whole lot more daring with these four new colours added to the ever popular Rouge Edition and Rouge Edition Velvet range - perfect if you are after a matte or bright satin finish.

The Rouge Edition lipstick range (£7.99) is the ideal choice is you are after an intense pigmentation with a melting texture that hydrates and coats the lips with a luscious colour. Two new beautiful rich shades join this collection - 41. Pink Catwalk (top swatch) and 42. Fuchsia Sari (bottom swatch). The formula glides on smoothly and gives you a bold, statement lip that will last for hours without drying or fading.

The Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick range (£8.99) delivers us a bold, matte and long-lasting formula with a unique velvety texture. I love these lipsticks with their doe-foot applicators making it easy to apply the shade neatly and precisely to the lips, layering the colour up if you want an even more intense finish. The two new additions here are 13. Fu(n)chsia (top swatch) and 14. Plum Plum Girl (bottom swatch). I think Plum Plum Girl might be my new favourite lipstick of the season so far - a gorgeous deep, burgundy red that looks stunning with a dark brown smokey eye and maybe a bit of sparkle for the festive parties!

Bourjois Air Mat Foundation

You can't see it, but it changes everything! Bourjois Air Mat Foundation* (£9.99) | available from Boots

When it comes to 'drugstore' foundations, I think Bourjois are one of the best brands at offering affordable yet fantastic bases and concealers for the skin and this latest release it another great addition to their brimming collection of base products. As the name would suggest, the new Air Mat foundation is all about achieving a smooth, matte finish that feels light as air on the skin - no heaviness, thickness or mask-like coverage. It promises to deliver a delicate, soft second skin effect with an even complexion.

I love a matte yet light foundation but it is true that you are often faced with a formula that feels heavy and cakey on the skin which looks anything but natural. What I like about this new foundation is the fact that it feels lightweight and comfortable on the skin yet still offers you an ideal coverage (light-medium that could easily be built up if necessary). Air Mat's extra-fine mattifying powder beads effectively absorb sebum so you can rest assure that you won't face a shiny t-zone halfway through the day, and also means you can get away without any additional heavy powders on top.

Available in eight shades, there should be an option to suit most skin tones with 2 light skin shades, 5 medium shades from beige to golden tan and 1 Mediterranean shade for darker skin tones. As well as offering a good coverage and a lovely matte, natural finish, this foundation also manages to really brighten up lacklustre skin so instantly gives any sallow complexion a boost. Even if the coverage wasn't enough for you, you could use a little bit of this product as a base to prep and perk up the skin before following on with your normal foundation.

There is no better way to welcome in a new Summer makeup collection than with a flurry of pastel tones and muted soft shades to tantalise your nails, cheeks and lips. So behold the latest releases from the Bourjois Swimming Cool Collection - a pretty range of new products to give your makeup a fresh, Summery flair this season with some new pastel polishes, a collection of innovative cream blushers and the Sweet Kiss lip glosses for a subtle slick of colour

First up is a trio of new nail colours (£5.99 each) from the ever-popular 1 seconde Bourjois nail range. I love these nail varnishes - they have a big flat brush which covers your entire nail in one easy stroke. Two coats and you are done and the colour is always flawless and lasts a good four or five days before chipping. The three new shades are Summer-perfect and I think everyone will fall for at least one of these colours. Firstly there is No. 49 Pink-itude - a classic muted pink. Next up is No. 50 Blue Lagoon which is a pastel turquoise and my personal favourite! Finally there is No. 51 Palm Peach - a pinky-peach with a subtle orange undertone. This would be a fab pedicure colour I think especially against just-back-from-your-holidays tanned skin. So pretty and so pigmented, they are a must for getting your hands and toes completely beach-ready!

The next new launch from Bourjois has gotten me rather excited - it is the lovely Aqua Blush 12hr (£8.99) available in four fresh shades. The formula is sheer and skin-boosting, light in pigment and texture and blends beautifully onto the skin. You can either apply with a makeup brush like a mini kabuki or your fingertips by gently dabbing and smoothing the colour out for a real pop of natural flush. The texture is gel-like with a refreshing, cooling sensation when applied to the skin and all the four shades are very wearable and perfect for a soft, Summer look. The two colours I have used here are 03. Pink Twice and 02. Cocoricorail. The swatches look heavy and scary purely to show you the true colour unblended but with just one pump, gently sheered out, your cheeks will be left with a subtle, pretty tint!

Finally we move onto the lips and the Swimming Cool Collection welcomes in four new shades to the Sweet Kiss lipgloss range (£7.99) with a colour to suit and delight everyone. The Sweet Kiss glosses are shimmer and glitter-free and gives the lips a natural radiance with a boost of hydration. They are slightly sticky so wearing these on a windy day might not be the best idea but for a fresher, quicker option to lipstick they are a lovely light option plus I love the soft brush applicator. Above I am wearing 03. As De Pink (a pretty nude-pink) and 04. Incogni-rose (a rosy, natural pink).

NEW Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque for the lips* (£8.99) | available from Boots

Last year Bourjois treated us to their Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks – an incredible range of liquid lip products that offer an intense jolt of colour with an amazing, velvety-matte finish on the lips. They were probably some of my favourite products from 2014 and I continue to sling one of them into my makeup bag day after day when I want a fun, easy-to-wear lip colour that will last! Based on the huge success of the Rouge Edition Velvets those clever beans at Bourjois have updated the collection somewhat and have released the new Rouge Edition Aqua Laque lipsticks range for Spring/Summer, which gives you the same liquid lipstick concept but with a very different result.

Best described as a hybrid product featuring all the wonders of a lip gloss, lipstick and lip balm combined, the Aqua Laques are topped with a high-shine chrome cap which reveals the same cushiony doe-foot applicator as its original predecessor. The butter and wax-free formula is very unique and creates the ultimate wet look on the lips with a water-like sensation without the uncomfortable stickiness of your favourite gloss. It is smooth and easy to apply and delivers a decent level of colour for a natural, glossy look – perfect to match with a smoky eye to balance our your makeup. The consistency is light and moisturising and you can easily forget you are wearing anything more than a lip balm. The staying power of these newbies was never going to match the incredible longevity and intensity of the Rouge Edition Velvets but if you prefer something lighter on your lips that is going to hydrate and add instant mirror-like shine whilst you are on the go then you will love these, and with eight shades to pick from there is definitely a shade to suit everyone. Peachy-pink, natural rose, classic red or daring fuchsia!

Here we have, from top to bottom, left to right: 01. Appechissant, 02. Rose on the Rocks, 04. Vines si tu Roses 05. Red my Lips 07. Fuchsia Perche 08. Babe Idole. What is your favourite pick for an easy breezy Spring/Summer makeup look?

Bourjois '70s Inspired Limited Edition 1 Seconde Mascara

Bourjois Limited Edition 'Flower Power' 70s inspired 1 Seconde Mascara (£9.99) | available from Boots/Superdrug

With the high street stores flooded with fringing, bell-bottoms, crotchet, suede fabrics and laid back, boho prints it is fair to say that the '70s trend has well and truly landed and this Summer I, for one, will definitely be stepping out in floaty designs and bold floral prints.

Bourjois have embraced this retro revival and have given their best-selling mascara, the 1 Seconde Mascara, a 70s makeover - a nod to the flower power days with a punchy lime sorbet and hot coral print. The mascara itself remains unchanged, and you can read all about my love for this beauty hero right here, but from 13th May until the end of August you pick up their popular mascara in this limited edition design. A must-have accessory for the festival and Summer season!

New In: Bourjois Pink and Nude Lipsticks

What finer sight is there than a lovely line up of new lip products from one of my favourite 'drugstore' brands, Bourjois. Their lip products consistently impress me with their Rouge Edition Velvet range being one of my top picks from 2014 - everyone needs Happy Nude Year in their life! However, if a glossier, lighter lipstick is more your thing then I would highly recommend the Bourjois Rouge Edition lipsticks, which are available in a whole spectrum of shades, or the Color Boost Lip Crayons which offer a rich, luscious finish on the lips.

I have been applying, testing and loving a few (fairly) new lip shades* from Bourjois recently so I thought I would give you all the low down and the obligatory lip swatches from their most recent releases which all quite happily sit within the pinky-nude "my-lips-but-better" category and are perfect for Spring Summer time.

Firstly three new shades have joined the army of Rouge Edition lipsticks (left to right, top to bottom) - 39. Pretty in Nude, 40. Rose Incognito and 02. Beige Trench.  I love the cosnsistency of these lippies - so smooth and creamy with a great colour pay off and a texture that is comfortable and moisturising on the lips. Beige Trench and Pretty in Nude would both work extremely well paired with a cool, nude lip liner to achieve that coveted Kylie Jenner pout.

Two new additions have also been added to Bourjois' Color Boost range, the ever-popular lip crayon format that gives you a glossy lustre to the lips without the stickiness of gloss and with a much more intense pop of colour. From left to right, top to bottom we have - 07. Proudly Naked and 08. Sweet Macchiato. Both are such pretty shades but Proudly Naked is one of my favourites - it is the ideal lipstick to toss in your makeup bag and apply on the go to perk your lips up with a natural burst of colour. Love! Are you going to be picking up any of these new lip bits when you are next in Boots?

Bourjois Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palettes

Prime, shadow, define and highlight with Bourjois' new Smoky Stories Eyeshadow palettes available in eight smouldering shades. Last year it was all about Bourjois' trio of eyeshadows for quick and simple smoky eyes but now they have upped their game and added another shadow into their handy little palettes, with the lightest shade boasting an integrated base primer to prolong colour for up to 12 hours hold.

The Bourjois Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Palettes* (£7.99) available from Boots have a lovely cream to powder texture with a buildable intensity for a new, arty version of smoky eyes. The three harmonious shades in each palette come with the Light Touch, a new generation integrated top coat that contains co-ordinated glitter for a subtle shimmer and illumination. The glittery shade can be applied as a solid layer all over the eyeshadow base to complete your sparkly, smoky look or alternatively can be used to add shimmer and highlight in the corner of your eye, along your brow bone or at the roots of the lashes for a flash of sparkle. I am always a fan of eyeshadow palettes that have everything you need at your fingertips to prime, shadow and highlight. The texture of each shadow is smooth, easy to blend out and gives an lovely, even result on your eyelids and the base primer provides a unified base shadow for your darker colours to cling to. The sparkly top coat is such a fun addition as well and makes a great little highlighter or glitter top coat to take you from day to night!

As I start to reflect on this year's beauty launches and which products have really impressed me, I feel I need to mention one of my favourite new mascara launches of the year; Bourjois' Volume 1 Seconde mascara which I blogged about here back in April. Since then it has been one of those faithful eye products I always find myself reaching for when I want instant volume, length and separation with no clumping or dryness. This Christmas Bourjois has released an update version of this fantastic mascara in Ultra Black to give your lashes a blacker than black appearance for up to 16 hours, ideal for taking you from desk to dance floor! A mixture of Bourjois' ultra volumising and long-lasting formula along with its patented brush which features wraparound spherical bristles, this mascara promises to give you captivating and hypnotic eyelashes in a flash! The chunky wand really grabs each lash and coats them with a super-rich, highly pigmented inky black colour and can be built up for a super glamorous flutter! The brush is expertly designed to capture and define every eyelash and fan them out for a dramatic finish perfect for the party season. Bourjois' Volume 1 Seconde Ultra Black Mascara* is available from Boots for a purse-friendly price of just £9.99.

And to remove my makeup at the end of a long night dancing at the Christmas party? I've been using Bourjois' Express Eye Makeup Remover* which is ideal for waterproof mascara and removes stubborn makeup and glitter in a flash! It has a non-oily formulation and is quite similar to one of my favourite (and pricier) makeup removers, the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover, in both colour and performance! This remover has a two-phase formula which needs to be shaken together before using. The first, darker blue layer, contains oils concentrated with cleansing agents to remove all makeup effortlessly, even that waterproof mascara. The second, lighter blue layer, is the water phase to leave the skin fresh and clear and free of any greasiness. The formula has been tested to protect the lashes, the delicate skin of the eyelids and the fragile area around the eyes and does a great job at removing your makeup thoroughly without irritating the skin. I always forget that Bourjois offer a handful of skincare and shower products so I would definitely suggest checking them out next time you are in Boots or perusing Amazon online.
