Bobbi Brown's newly released Beach Nudes Collection is your perfect answer this Summer to a sun-kissed glow - so even if the sun doesn't shine you are guaranteed to look beachy and bronzed all season. It captures the essence of Summer beauty, keeping it simple, relaxed but with a smidgeon of sexiness. The Beach Nudes Collection features three new, limited edition eye palettes, two new shade extensions to their Bronzing Powders range and three limited edition Sheer Lip Color shades.

Rose gold continues to be the bloggers' favourite packaging to make any makeup collection instagram-worthy and I am happy to report that this new collection features one of the most stunning pinky-rose-gold eyeshadow palettes I have ever seen! The Sunkissed Eye Palette* (£36) comes in three shades and is packed full of gorgeous warm bronzes, golds, pinks and nude powders for a subtle to sultry eye look to take you from beach to bar. Above I have the Sunkissed Pink palette which features a matte all over shade, two medium shimmer-sparkle shades and a dark matte liner shade. The palette is perfectly portable so ideal for slinging in your holiday makeup bag and will give you a variety of different looks throughout your trip away.

The new Bronzing Powder shades are soft, silky-smooth and warms up your complexion a treat. They are so natural, without a hint of sparkle or glitter, they are perfect for sweeping all over your face where the sun naturally hits or using to contour and define your cheekbones. The two new shades are Stonestreet and Elvis Duran* (£28.50), which I have featured above.

Finally we have three new, limited edition Sheer Lip Color shades* (£20) in Boho Breeze, Peach Sorbet and my favourite, featured above, Pink Gold. These lip products are the ideal Summer staple as they are packed full of nourishing butters and oils such as Shea butter and Apricot Kernel oil, to rejuvenate and soothe chapped or sunburnt lips. But as well as nourishing your lips they deliver a sheer, slightly glossy and gorgeous-looking tint of colour and sparkle. It looks fresh, pretty and relaxed so great for popping on when on your holidays for an effortless shine and pretty sparkle.

Get the sun-kissed look this Summer with Clarins' newest collection | Out in May 2016 and available online

You know that Summer is well and truly on the way when Clarins' iconic, giant bronzing and blush compact lands on your doormat. Becoming quite a cult product as the seasons go by, this complexion-warming, limited edition bronzer is just one of the amazing new products to be released this May from Clarins to get us sun-kissed and glowing for Summer. Whether you are tanning by the pool or going out in the warm summer evenings, this collection promises to give you a flawless complexion with a harmony of rich gold and bronze shades, sparkling eyes and fresh, fruity lips.

Firstly the Bronzing & Blush Compact* (£30) is embossed with a sun-inspired motif and warms your complexion with a blend of copper, terracotta and golden tones and an apricot pearlescent blush in the centre. Swirled together or used separately, these powders complement all skin tones and boosts a formula that cares for the skin whilst adding luminosity to your complexion. Every year Clarins launch a new one of these compacts and every year I vow that the latest one is my favourite but I do actually think this could be my absolute favourite - the tones and finish on the skin is just gorgeous and adds a natural radiance and sun-kissed dusting to your makeup.

For the eyes Clarins have released a range of four waterproof Eyeshadow Shimmering Cream Colours* (£18) which have a soft cream formula that glide easily onto the eyelids. The fine pearl particles provide a shimmering colour to subtly illuminate the eyes whilst the bitter orange tree wax creates a protective shield against water and humidity making sure the colour stays put longer during those warmer days. Above I have swatched 04. Copper Brown and 02. Silver Taupe and I think you will agree that Copper Brown, in particular, is just gorgeous!

Possibly the most exciting part of this new collection is the launch of a brand new Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil* (£19) in 03. Red Berry. You only need read my previous post here to see just why I love these lip oils so much. During the Summer when lips can be left feeling dry and parched, the Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil is the only remedy you will need to nourish and love your lips instantly whilst enhancing their natural colour.

The Clarins Fix' Make-Up* (£24) has apparently been around before but has just undergone a bit of a facelift. I had never tried this product out before and now I can see why it would be the ultimate summer beauty must-have. It is an ultra-fine cooling mist that sets makeup by forming an invisible veil over the face. The Aloe Vera hydrates the skin, the Allantoin soothes whilst the exclusive Clarins anti-pollution complex protects the skin from external aggressors so is a great option to cool, refresh and shield your complexion on hot days out and about. Pop it in the fridge for the ultimate, refreshing experience when you spritz!

Finally there is a new and improved formula for the Double Fix' Mascara* (£20) which is a multi-tasking product for your brows and eyelashes. The clear formula enriched with bitter orange tree wax can be used over your mascara to create a waterproof barrier or combed through your brows to keep them tame. The wax helps create a water repellent, protective shield to ensure long-lasting, waterproof results. It is a great little beauty staple to have to groom brows and style lashes for a minimal makeup look.

Summer is certainly going to be sun-kissed this year (even if the sun doesn't shine) thanks to Clarins! What pieces have you got your eye on?

Pick up your perfect bronzer from Too Faced (£21) | available online

Choosing the perfect bronzer for you is a beauty dilemma that many face time and time again. With so, so many different bronzing powders on the market, promising you that sun-kissed glow in one easy sweep, it can be a minefield to navigate and find that one perfect product that suits all your needs. Do I want matte or shimmery? Do I need warm tones or cooler tones for my skin? What if I want a pop of colour too or the ability to contour and highlight as well? With so many questions begging to be answered Too Faced seem to have got this bronzer business sorted with their extensive collection of eight, yes eight, different compacts that will hopefully satisfy everyone whilst encouraging you to build your own bronzer wardrobe, as easy and interchangeable as your favourite outfits.

The Too Faced bronzers cover all bases so whether you want natural, matte, luminous, blushing, light or dark, there is definitely something here for you. The extensive collection is organised into three little ranges; the Bunnies, the Chocolate Soleil and those other special ones such as Pink Leopard and Endless Summer. Let's look at the three Bunny Bronzers first - Sun Bunny, Beach Bunny and Snow Bunny. Aside from their adorable names and sweet, young packaging the Bunny range offers you a great choice of bronzing with added shimmer and colour. Snow Bunny helps to emulate that just-off-the-mountain-top glow for the ultimate winter look without leaving the lodge! It has four shades including white and pale pink shimmer powders to give you an illuminating, soft finish. Sun Bunny is a half and half bronzer with pink undertones to mimic that natural flush you get from being in the sun. Perfect for swirling together or using sperately for a subtle glow and shimmer. Finally we have Beach Bunny which contains four shades ranging from a deep bronzer to a light, golden shimmer. It is illuminating, great for contouring and is ideal for darker skinned girls looking for a warm, deep colour.

The next trio of bronzers fall into the Chocolate Soleil category. They are basic, matte and probably the most easy to use from the entire collection, with one to suit every skin tone. They are made from real cocoa which you can detect in their scent and are smooth and silky to apply - perfect to add colour or to contour. Milk Chocolate Soleil is the lightest shade, great for those fairer ladies, followed by Chocolate Soleil which will give a medium to deep tan to your skin. Finally, the newest addition to their range, is the Dark Chocolate Soleil which offers the ultimate rich, deep matte bronze to sculpt those cheekbones or sweep all over. It has some subtle red undertones to it too which emulate that true outdoor-sy glow.

Finally we have two special additions to the range; the fancy looking Pink Leopard Blushing Bronzer and Endless Summer 16 hour Bronzer. Pink Leopard is described as a blushing bronzer due to its pattern of gilded pinks and natural fawns which brighten the complexion and work best applied onto the apples of your cheeks, rather than all over. The toned-down golden bronze shades give you an illuminating finish and this is super pretty for the Summertime. Endless Summer 16 Hour Bronzer is made with a double bond formula that promises a longer lasting colour on the skin, to take you from beach to beach party! If you love the medium tones of Chocolate Soleil but crave a bit of shimmer then this is the pefect pick for you!

Which bronzer have you got your eye on?

Clarins Aquatic Treasures for Summer 2015* | available online and on counters now

Every year, without fail, Clarins always releases a truly sumptuous Summer makeup collection that will literally make you want to pack up your kaftan, skimpiest shorts and oversized sunglasses and head to sunnier climates. Summer 2015 is no exception and Clarins has once again treated us to a paradisal, sun-kissed collection of beauty bits that have been inspired by the enchanting treasures that lie beneath the waves.

The limited edition Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer makeup collection plunges us to the depths of the glittering turquoise-blue ocean and captures the textures and shades from an idyllic island. Picture the harmony of rich golds and bronzed hues to mirror the silky sands, the iridescent pearly shades of mermaid-quality that scatter the ocean floor combined with a splash of glittering grey echoing the water as it sparkles in the sunlight. Are you packing your suitcase yet?! This collection is all about an illuminated, glowing complexion and a lustrous finish on the eyes and has a perfect ensemble of products to transport you off to a sun-drenched haven.

Possibly one of the most recognisable products from passed Clarins Summer collections is that beautiful oversized round bronzer that is reinvented and released each year. This time we have a gorgeous palette that warms the complexion with a blend of four mattes shades ranging from beige to terracotta. The Aquatic Treasures Summer Bronzing Compact (£30) is embossed with a marine-inspired motif and offers us a harmony of shades that will complement most skin tones and complexions. The formula cares for the skin and gives us a luminosity and radiance once swept lightly all over the skin that will instantly fake that two week holiday away.

Another complexion product from the new range is the Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base (£26) available in two shades, 04. Apricot and 05. Golden Bronze. Now I really love this product and its versatility - whether you want to wear it alone after your morning moisturiser to give you a light, luminous base or mixed in with your normal foundation to give your complexion a inner radiance and glow whilst helping eliminate imperfections. You only need a pea-sized amount to transform your skin from dull to dazzling!

Finally we have two new limited edition Ombre Iridescente (£19) available in shades 01. Aquatic Rose and 03 Aquatic Grey. These cream-to-powder eyeshadows beautifully enhance the eye with a pearlescent veil for an easy day or night look. The consistency is creamy but firm and is best applied with a fingertip, warming the cream slightly in the pot then blending it over your eyelid. Aquatic Rose is my absolute favourite shade and one that I can see myself wearing a lot over the Summer. It is similar in colour to MAC's All That Glitters but the finish and intensity is even more lustrous and is so pretty applied all over the eye for a simple, bronzed look. Pair this with light yet luminous skin and  warm, bronzed cheeks and you are pretty much Summer ready!

What bits have tempted you from this new Clarins collection?

Personalise your own Benefit Hoola Bronzer

IMG_2738
I love to dabble with a spot of personalisation. From the monogram initials on my Mulberry to my very own Starbucks Frappuccino phone case, I think it is such a fun way to give a treasured item a hint of personality. Never once though did I think about inscribing my name on my favourite makeup item…not until I received my very own Benefit Hoola bronzer last year and my friends and family were rather envious of my personalised powder. Well, rather excitingly, the hot news from Benefit HQ is that you can all now own a bespoke bronzer with your name engraved on the top of your Hoola box and on the mini brush!

Hoola is one of those classic bronzers that will never be absent from my makeup collection. I think I have swirled and buffed my way through two or three Hoolas by now and remember it being one of my first makeup purchases as a excitable teenager let loose in Boots with some birthday money. It is the ultimate way to cheat a real tan and give your complexion a natural looking, just-back-from-the-beach glow without the dreaded sparkle or shimmer. It is matte and the right shade of brown to avoid any orange-y tinge - it is basically your Summer holiday in a box, all year round!

You can get creating your own personalised Hoola now on the Benefit Cosmetics website for £28.50. Such a fab present for a friend or maybe just a little treat for yourself?! Let me know if you are a fan of customising your cosmetics?

Bourjois Delice de Poudre Duo & Gold Bronzing Powders

I am sure most of you, at some time or another, have own the Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzer. Or more fondly known as the chocolate bronzer - smelling and resembling the look of your favourite block of Cadburys! I certainly always find that I have a Bourjois bronzer lurking in my collection and love the warmth and subtle shimmer it instantly gives your skin for a radiant but non-shiny glow. Well back in August, Bourjois extended their bronzer range with two new versions of the popular Delice de Poudre to help satisfy all your contouring, bronzing and highlighting needs, presented in the same handy, book-like palettes with the addictive chocolate scent to match.

First up is the Bourjois Delice de Poudre Duo (£7.99)* which sees a deep chocolate matte shade accompanied by a white chocolate illuminating shade to be used alone or combined to create a natural, radiant tan. The bronzing powder can either be used with a tapered brush to contour the face by shading in the hollows of your cheeks, sweeping along the hairline and down the sides of your nose or they can be swirled together and just gently swept all over with a large blusher brush to give you a subtle, sun kissed look. The bronzer is warm toned with a slight earthy, red hint which can easily be built up depending on your skin tone and is natural and pretty on the skin, never too orange or muddy looking. The highlighter powder is a very delicate champagne shade which can be used to highlight the skin and add an inner glow to your complexion without feeling too much like a disco ball. The pearly shade contains very fine shimmer with no chunky glitter in sight so subtly highlights the skin in a natural way. The pigmentation of the highlighter shade is not as great as its neighbouring bronzer so you do have to work a bit harder to get the colour payoff but when swept along the high points of your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose and onto your cupid's bow, you are left with a lovely, soft iridescent glow.

The second new addition to the Bourjois bronzing line up is Delice de Poudre Gold bronzing powder (£7.99)* which gives you a luxurious glow with the midas touch. Bourjois have devised this special sunshine powder to be used on the cheekbones and décolleté for a glowy, radiant result. This powder is a great, multi-purpose product which can be used to brighten the complexion by softly sweeping it over areas of the face, placed along your décolletage for an alluring shimmer or even dusted on your eyelids as a tempting alternative to eyeshadow. The pigmentation of this powder is quite strong so you do need a soft hand and a delicate approach to keep the finish looking natural but blended in well, it has a simple feel and look to MAC's Mineralise Skinfinish in Gold Deposit for about a third of the price! These are definitely great little additions to the Bourjois bronzing collection and are wonderful treats to reach for when in need of a bit of Winter sunshine!

Have you tried these new versions of the classic chocolate bronzer from Bourjois?
