NEW Pure Color Envy Sculpting Glosses* from Estee Lauder (£20) | available online
TOP: Reckless Bloom | BOTTOM: Suggestive Kiss

Shape. Sculpt. Shine. Lips to envy. Let me introduce you to the latest gloss to grace the Estee Lauder lip product line-up, and it is a really special collection. The new high-performing formula provides comfort, lasting moisture and multi-dimensional lip glazing shine for a look of magnified volume with the sticky mess. Hooray!

This latest range of lip glosses from Estee Lauder boosts an array of gorgeous shades to suit all skin tones and makeup looks. They contain Hyaluronic Acid for lasting moisture and really do feel incredibly luxurious and silky on your lips - as well as giving them the appearance of fullness and luminosity. I hate sticky, gloopy lip glosses but thankfully these sit really comfortably and have a fluid, balm-like texture, making them perfect to wear alone or layered over lipstick to add shimmer and shine. I adore the two shades I have been trying out recently but in particular Suggestive Kiss, which is a sweet, baby-pink shade with subtle sparkle.  Such an easy shade to pop on and wear day to day knowing your lips will stay moisturised as well as looking pretty in pink.

Will you be checking out this new range of glosses?

Modern Muse le Rouge Eau de Parfum

Extroverted, glamorous, sophisticated. Modern Muse le Rouge from Estee Lauder from (£45) | available online

I love the Estee Lauder fragrances. From Bronze Goddess to Modern Muse, there is something very appealing about their light, easy to wear scents encased in a selection of beautiful bottles, worthy to adorn any vanity table. Last year I shared with you the launch of Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse Eau de Parfum which is a sparkling citrus scent spiked with Jasmine and softened with creamy vanilla, musk and rich Amberwood. It's exotic, feminine and very pretty and definitely worth a sniff. However, if this sounds a little too sweet and girlie for you then the good news is that Estee Lauder have recently launched an updated version of this splendid scent – Modern Muse le Rouge which is a fruity, floral, oriental fragrance – still completely feminine but with a full, daring kick to it which makes it a little more robust and sexier than the original.

At the heart of this Eau de Parfum are the notes of Bulgarian rose, raspberry, blackcurrant and pink pepper. Saffron, Madagasgar vanilla, patchouli, vetiver, jasmine and magnolia also make a welcome appearance in this scent giving the whole fragrance a wonderful blend of rich roses, ripe fruit and velvety, creamy vanilla which all work perfectly together. I would say this fragrance is the perfect transitional scent as we creep into Winter as it feels warm, cosy and richly-spiced on the skin. It feels slightly more grown up than the original but still remains ageless and would definitely appeal to all age groups. If you love the idea of rich red roses and fruity accords, layered with a soft creamy base then I think this could be heading straight onto your Christmas list!

Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks

estee lauder lipsticks
Last year, Estée Lauder's new Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks won not just one, but two beauty awards - heralding them the "Best Lipstick" by Cosmopolitan Beauty and "Most Wearable Lip" by the Grazia Beauty Awards, and after giving four of their new shades a whirl I can completely see why. With a premise that the mulit-faceted pigments creates sculpted definition giving your lips shape and a curvaceous finish, the formula of these lipsticks is completely luscious. The texture is smooth and hydrating, giving the lips a rich deposit of colour with a subtle glossy sheen (similar to MAC's Cremesheen formula). In fact these lipsticks even smell like the classic vanilla-scent of your favourite MAC lipstick and have a creamy consistency that practically hugs the lips and lasts well for a good few hours.

Encased in Estée Lauder's iconic navy and gold packaging, the lid to these lipsticks is magnetic giving this product a classy-sounding 'click' everytime you use it. They are so lovely and soft to apply and feel like they are melting onto your lips, leaving them saturated with colour yet completely moisturised too. The four shades I have been sampling are beautiful and very me! Desirable and Potent are both very pretty pink nudes, with Potent being slightly more peach-toned. Powerful is a wonderful fuchsia pink that really adds a pop of colour to your makeup but the star of the show is definitely Defiant Coral which is a unique coral-red with bursting orange undertones. It is seriously stunning!

You can purchase Estée Lauder's Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks* (£24) from Boots or Estée Lauder online, and with a whopping 30 different shades to choose from ranging from nudes, pinks, berries, mauves and plums, there is bound to be a shade to suit you. I certainly fancy picking up some more next time I am passing by a counter and I currently have my eye on Reckless or Thrilling! Which is your favourite shade from the four I have been trying recently?

Estée Lauder CC and EE Cream

IMG_7501
IMG_8644
So first came the BB creams, and whilst everyone was enjoying this new revolution of blemish balms and giving their skin all the greatness of a tinted moisturiser with added healing properties, the CC phenomena swept the beauty world! Colour/Complexion Correctors were welcomed to improve skin tone and add a bit more coverage than your standard BB cream whilst still offering a host of skin-loving properties to heal and improve skin imperfections. But it doesn't end there! Neatly side-stepping that awkward double-D moment, Estée Lauder have created the first EE cream of its kind - an Even Effect Skintone Corrector to enlighten the skin for a flawless, luminous finish.

So let's delve a little deeper into these two smart-sounding, skin base products from Estée Lauder, which may look quite similar but give you two different options for lovely, natural looking skin.  Firstly, the Revitalizing Supreme CC Creme* (£40) is a sheer, lightweight cream with a universal shade that will complement virtually any complexion and enhance a more radiant, even look. The blueish-grey cream slowly turns into a more foundation-like colour once you start blending it into your skin as the micro pigments activate and the colour adapts to perfectly match your complexion. This CC creme is really targeted at slightly more mature skin that those youthful 20-somethings and it deeply hydrates, evens out skin tone whilst working on fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness and dullness. The feel of this cream is light to apply and gives the skin an instant glow and plumpness. It could easily be worn alone as a base product on those good skin days considering it gives a little more coverage than your average BB cream or alternatively works wonders as a primer-type layer to really give your foundation a flawless look.

Next up is the Estée Lauder Enlighten Even Effect Skintone Corrector* (£34), of just EE creme for short, which is the first of its kind to hit the beauty world.  This new product launch promises to offer something a little different from the former BB and CC wave of creams and gives the skin a more even, flawless and luminous finish. The formula, available in three shades, is ultra-sheer but does deliver a lovely wash of healthy colour that can be built up to minimise the appearance of dark spots, blemishes, redness and pores. And this is where the beauty of this product lies and sets it apart from the other BB/CC/primer-hybrids. Estée Lauder has leveraged key research into hyperpigmentation and launched their new Enlighten skincare range which takes visible skin evening to a whole new level, and this EE cream completes the range as the final step for your skin. Like with the CC creme, I can be worn alone for a light, natural look or under your foundation for a more polished finish. It creates a barrier for your skin to protect against pollution and free radicals whilst softening, smoothing and hydrating.

I love love both these products from Estée Lauder and think they both have a place in my makeup collection. The CC cream is a great option when you want a little bit more coverage than your average BB cream (and the EE cream) and it really transforms to match your complexion perfectly. It is light and lovely for those non-makeup days and contains all the greatness of Estée Lauder's Revitalizing Supreme Anti-Aging Creme so you know it is doing wonders for your skin deep down whilst you wear it. The EE cream looks like it would give you more coverage but it much sheerer on the skin so is much more suited as a primer to even out skin tone and protect against pollution as a step before your foundation. I love that it is available in three different shades and really made my skin feel soft and hydrated whilst giving me a fresher, clearer looking complexion.

BB, CC or EE - which cream is the one for you?

Estée Lauder Perfectionist Foundation

I remember when Estée Lauder's Double Wear foundation was my go-to foundation. It was one of the first high-end foundation I ever purchased and that, along with MAC's Studio Fix Fluid, were my base products of choice for much of 2011! Since then I have always preferred something a little lighter and a little more luminous on the skin and haven't really tried any other Estée Lauder foundations, until now!

Estée Lauder's Perfectionist Youth-Infusing SPF25 Foundation* (£37) is a fairly new foundation from this luxury brand and promises to firm, brighten and hydrate the skin whilst giving you medium coverage with a satin finish, my favourite type of look when it comes to perfecting my base. Lauder have infused this foundation with their age-defying Perfectionist serum technology to give the skin a youthful boost, a look of radiance and nourishment with oil-free hydration as well as smoothing out any lines or wrinkles. The texture is lightweight and quite runny but feels rich and creamy when applied. It covers blemishes pretty well whilst evening out your skin tone to give you a fresh, natural complexion. I would say it borders more on a light-medium coverage but is very buildable and feels very luxurious and long-wearing on the skin. I definitely needed to go in with the concealer under my eyes and on a few stubborn blemishes to get my skin completely flawless for a night out but day to day, I would be very happy to just buff this in, add some blush and mascara and head off to work!

Now about that makeup brush! Brand new from Estée Lauder is their unique Sculpting Foundation Brush* (£37) - a worldwide first that provides ultimate definition when it comes to applying your foundation and perfecting your base. Ergonomically designed, this brush has been created to follow the contours of your face for seamless application and blending. The brush is beautifully soft and really does work at distributing and blending in the foundation perfectly across your cheeks, jaw line, down your nose and across your forehead. The design really hugs all the contours of your face and then the soft bristles can be used to swirl out the rest of the foundation to complete your base flawlessly. I wouldn't say this brush is a complete necessity but is a definite luxury purchase if you are in the market for a new foundation brush with can't-stop-stroking-them-on-my-face bristles!

Have you tried this new foundation from Estée Lauder? And what do you think of this funky new makeup brush?
