Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Couture Eau de Parfum

Bonbon has grown up!

In Spring 2014, the original Bonbon fragrance, by Viktor & Rolf, was introduced to the world and everyone fell head over heels in love with its caramel-sweet scent with fruity notes. It was one of those perfect Summer scents to wear. Light and pretty. I'll be honest - I remember buying it mainly because of that gorgeous pink bow bottle, but the perfume was very lovely too.

Fast forward two years and Bonbon now has an older, more mature sister which brings its own opulence to the range. Welcome Bonbon Couture. If Bonbon was made for the summer then Bonbon Couture is definitely more suited to Autumnal days and fancy nights out. Bonbon Couture is deeper and richer yet still pertains a lot of the sensory experience that everyone loved with the original Bonbon. You will still find that scent of caramel lingering, mixed with the warming orange blossom, yet everything is a little stronger and more intense. The layers of mandarin, neroli oil and peach keep this fragrance light and sparkly, but then the addition of sandalwood and vanilla make the overall scent woody and creamy. The caramel note keeps this EDP instantly recognisable and ensures it is warm and highly addictive...perfect if you have a sweet tooth like me!

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon Couture EDP is available from Selfridges (£57 - £109).

YSL Black Opium Wild Edition

IMG_1701
As the days get chiller, the nights get darker and the knitwear gets heavier, it is only natural that we start to gravitate towards those richer, deeper fragrances. I, for one, love my summer-fresh, zesty, fruity scents but as Autumn draws in, I start to switch up my daily spritz and opt for a more opulent mix of perfumes.

2014 saw the launch of one of Yves Saint Laurent's most hotly anticipated fragrances - Black Opium Eau de Parfum. It was the shot of that intoxicating coffee note that really set it apart and made it the perfect Winter scent. I gushed all about the original EDP on my blog nearly two years ago. Now YSL have released a limited Wild Edition of this perfume - same electrifying scent but housed within a highly collectable bottle.

The bottle is gorgeous and will definitely add a splash of mystery and sparkle to your dressing table. The glitter-effect faux fur coat wraps itself around the bottle, and is finished with a rose gold border to add a edgy look to the scent. Inside you will find the same mix of bitter coffee, radiant white flowers, soft vanilla and woody cedar which makes Black Opium such an appealing fragrance. It is round and deep and guaranteed to warm you up on those wintery days.

Available now online (£47 for 30ml/£66 for 50ml/£87 for 90ml)

Stella McCartney POP fragrance

IMG_0646
IMG_0664
IMG_0659
Bright, modern, unique and irreverent. A celebration of individuality and adventure. This pretty much sums up the new Summer 2016 fragrance launch from Stella McCartney, from its metallic, playful bottle to its multi-faceted scent.

Stella's philosophy is that fragrances and cosmetics should enhance each woman's unique, inner beauty, not distract or overpower it. POP is a liberation from a one-size-fits-all mould and offers us a unique and bold scent for the Summer. What I really like about this new Eau de Parfum is that it is a step away from those clichéd, super-sweet, fruity Summer perfumes. It does have the vibrancy of floral tuberose but is layered with sandalwood to create a woody undertone. The bright, crisp tuberose still shines through but the fact you then get a hit of the unexpected sandalwood makes this scent unique and a more mature statement to wear.

The bottle itself is a combination of bold yet balanced attitudes with the arrangement of minimalist shapes and the explosive metallic pink cap. The whole appearance is chic yet a little bit frivolous at the same time and is a beautiful Summertime scent if you are looking for something a little bit different.

The new Stella McCartney POP fragrance is available online now (from £42 - £74).

Lola James Harper Fragrance Stories

IMG_0910
IMG_0908
The Lola James Harper story is rather a lovely one. A group of friends, artists and family have all joined together to share their love of the creative world through a variety of eclectic outlets. They write and play music together, take photos, print tee shirts, make films and document their trips and travels through a range of fragrances and candles. These scents have been inspired by places they have visited and people they have met around the globe. In their own words, " This is all about places and people we love, about fragrances and pics we cherish...about what makes us feel good..."

Many of the photos and influences come from Paris (where Rami Mekdach, the brand's founder is from) and West-Coast America. Their photography from these places conjure up a laid-back image of wanderlust; travelling free along the open road. Hands in the air. Crystal blue sparkling pools. Sunsets and leafy palms. I adore the idea of each fragrance being inspired by a place, experience or person they've met such as The Vinyl Store Rue des Dames, The Red Garden at Tata & Jeddo, The Guitare Shop on Denmark Street or The First Morning of Spring. It creates a romanticised image of travelling around the world, enjoying coffee, listening to old vinyls, walking in the rain and generally, being inspired.

This stylish brand not only delivers some stunning fragrances, to spritz or ignite, but wraps it all up in some gorgeous looking packaging. I love the fact that the scents and the packaging remains quite unisex and is simple in colour and design, nothing detracting away from the inspiration behind the fragrance. I have recently been spritzing No.2 The Music Studio on Trufo Street which is a music recording studio in Paris where they all worked on their albums. It is filled with oak beams and oriental percussion instruments, giving us a blend of cashmere, rose and musk.

The candle, No. 7 The Rainy Days in the Lake District has been inspired by this evergreen land with its menacing grey sky and huge open fields. It is the ideal place to nest away for a few days, watch the rain lash down outside whilst you cosy up and write a novel, or song lyrics in their case. This candle is a fresh, comforting combination of Myrrh, Labdanum and Ylang. It is the perfect candle to light on a cold, miserable English afternoon in Autumn!

The complete Lola James Harper fragrance and candle range is available from Selfridges, starting at £34.

Jo Malone Nashi Blossom Cologne

IMG_9332
IMG_9335
IMG_9339
Just when you think Jo Malone couldn't possibly release anything more beautiful to the senses than their previous perfumes, (I'm sure I fall in love with each new scent than little bit more each time!) a new launch comes along that literally leaves you swooning, both for that gorgeously decorated bottle and the most addictively zesty scent I have ever smelt.

Jo Malone's Nashi Blossom Cologne* (£44/£89) is a limited edition scent this season that is the epitome of Springtime and is sweetly described as a petal pop. It is a fresh, bright and light combination of succulent nashi fruit, pear, crisp apple and mouth-watering lemon. These zingy notes are softened by nashi blossom, rose and creamy white musk which gives the whole scent a playful, radiant and youthful feel. This new perfume just screams summer picnics and afternoons of fruit picking under the heat of the Summer sun. It is completely refreshing and very different to the sickly-sweet or overly floral scents that you often see and smell around this time of year. It is so light and delicate on the skin it reminds me very much of Jo Malone's Grapefruit cologne - simple, fruity, tinged with citrus appeal and easily layered with a multitude of other colognes. And let's just mention that bottle! The design has been inspired by the Nashi Flower which boosts a pure white petal juxtaposed with a jet black stamen hence the graphic, polka dot effect studded all over the glass bottle. It is modern and fresh, topped with a zesty lime green cap. Absolutely gorgeous.

If you are searching for a new Summer scent to give you a spring in your step then this limited edition cologne could be the one you are looking for!

Angel Muse Thierry Mugler Eau de Parfum

IMG_9073
IMG_9069
IMG_9087
That iconic 90s perfume, Thierry Mugler's Angel, has recently been reinvented and launches this month with the tag line - "the new fragrance you will hate to love #HateToLove" and is fronted by Georgia May Jagger. The original Angel revolutionised the world of perfumery and I vividly remember it being the perfume to wear during my schooldays and could always be found at the bottom of my gym bag! Anyone else?

The new Angel Muse Eau de Parfum couldn't be more different from its predecessor, in appearance and in scent. The bottle breaks away from those well-known angular facets and welcomes a smooth, curvaceous cosmic pebble bottle. The crystal heart bearing the imprint of the Angel star is encapsulated by an elliptical silver metal ring mirroring the fashion line designed by David Koma. A truly beautiful looking bottle. The scent has been described as a new gourmandise between cosmic explosion and magnetic attraction. It offers us a duo of aromas - the highly addictive hazelnut cream and the woody, elegant vetiver. A real mesh of sweetness and smoothness with a hint of masculinity and floral rose. This Eau de Parfum is very different but very intriguing and definitely worth a sniff when you are out and about and passing a perfume counter next month. I would love to hear your thoughts on whether Angel Muse could possibly become as popular at the original Angel?

NEW Chloe Love Story EDT* from £42 | Available online

There is something very beautiful about the Chloe fragrances. The pleated glass bottles, the honey-shaded liquid, the blush-pink ribbon and the golden accents. They certainly earn that spot, pride of place, on your dressing table and I was ridiculously lucky to receive a personalised bottle which I will cherish forever. Swoon! I adored the scent of the original Chloe Love Story Eau de Parfum but now, just in time for Spring, Chloe have introduced the Eau de Toilette version. A little lighter, more floral and a lot fresher - it is delicate and sensual on the skin.

If you like your perfumes packed full of fresh floral and fruity vibes then this EDT will make you very happy. It certainly ticked all the right boxes for me after the first spritz and sniff! The fragrance is sparkling with Orange Blossom with a burst of peppery nasturtium and prunus flower. It is feminine, soft and gorgeously floral on the skin. It is the perfect option if you are on the hunt for an everyday fragrance especially as we enter the Summer months - something carefree and delightful that you can spritz liberally and revel in the aroma of fresh flowers.

Have you had a sniff of this new Chloe scent yet?

Dolce Rosa Excelsa Eau de Parfum

Dolce & Gabbana's Dolce Rosa Excelsa Eau de Parfum* | Available online

A new scent has blossomed into the Dolce & Gabbana Dolce perfume garden and it is truly enchanting. Dolce Rosa Excelsa, as the name and rose-tinged bottle would suggest, is inspired by the pure spirit of the multifaceted rose flower, with the essence of fresh petals in bloom. Not only known for its floral accords, the rose flower is an ancient symbol of love, beauty and romance, possessing a delicate yet powerful presence. It is unique, iconic and timeless and the very inspiration for this latest Dolce release.

This fragrance really challenges any preconceptions you might have about a rose-based scent. I too thought this might be a little powdery and heavy for my liking but in actual fact, the whole fragrance has a bright, fresh and crisp appeal to it. The explosion of Neroli leaves and Papaya flower add a sweetness as they dissipate into the floral bouquet of White Water Lily and White Daffodil. At the heart of the fragrance lies two delicate and noble rose notes - the African Dog Rose which is pure and soft, and the Turkish Rose Absolute which adds a sensual and elegant character. At the vey base of this perfume you will find warm musky notes that are present but not too overpowering. Cashmeran and Sandalwood leave a senseal trail of light woods, earthy tones and piquant spices to the Rose Excelsa perfume, making it a very wearable choice day or night, and perfect to match the lightness of Spring.

The curvaceous frosted glass bottle is the star attraction and houses the prettiest pink elixir inside, topped with a sculpted flower cap in a crimson hue. The feminine Dolce signature finishes this perfume perfectly and expresses the delicate elegance of this complex new fragrance,

Do you like the sound of this rose-inspired scent from Dolce & Gabbana?

Jo Malone Rare Teas Collection

Jo Malone Rare Teas Collection (£240 each) | Available in Spring. Join the waiting list here

Now I love a good cuppa tea. Earl Grey, Lady Grey or just good, old fashioned English Breakfast. There is something incredibly comforting and British about a hot mug of chai but I never thought I would be speaking about a type of tea that was too precious to drink, and warranted a place on your beauty table rather than in your kitchen cupboard.

Jo Malone have really played upon quintessential British nostalgia recently with new launches celebrating the herb garden, English seaside sea salt and now a tea collection. Their latest venture introduces six new colognes devised and inspired by a range of globally rare teas from Japanese foothills, China and the Himalayas. Each bud meticulously hand-picked and prepared. The ancient art of tea mastery and the ingenuity of perfumery meet in perfect harmony for the first time ever in this refined collection.

Serge Majoullier, Master Perfumer for this collection says: "This collection is contemporary in its clarity. I didn't want to create traditional tea accords or replicate teas exactly. I wanted to create an interpretation, focussing on each tea's most surprising and exceptional facets."

The six unique fragrances that sit within this new release are:

Darjeeling Tea - radiant, richly floral with an exotic sweetness. Enticing with an apricot note.
Silver Needle Tea - soft, delicately floral, tender with sage and enveloped with musk.
Golden Needle Tea - notes of leather, spice and warm wood. Smooth with sandalwood.
Midnight Black Tea - deeply seductive, oriental with vanilla absolute and smoky with guaiac wood.
Jade Leaf Tea - vivid and bright. Textured with sesame and bracing with notes of pomelo.
Oolong Tea (pictured above) - delectable and rounded with buttery softness. Rich with bitter cocoa and almond-y tonka bean.

This new collection sees a slightly reinvented look for the classic Jo Malone bottle with each Rare Tea cologne housed in a majestically elegant 175ml glass bottle with a black, matte lid. The new look is very striking and fit the influences of this new collection perfectly. The price per perfume is a little more than your average box of teabags but each new cologne is incredibly special and unexpected - definitely worth a sniff next time you're passing especially if you are into your rare teas and one-of-a-kind perfumes.

Jo Malone Herb Garden Collection

IMG_8465
IMG_8473
IMG_8470
The Herb Garden Collection from Jo Malone* | available in stores and online

There really isn't anything more British than the scent and sight of a verdant herb garden. A tapestry of fragrances from fresh lavender, zesty lemon thyme to spicy nasturtium and striking coriander. It is little wonder then that the quintessential herb garden has inspired the latest collection from the very British brand Jo Malone as they launch five new captivating and delectable scents capturing an array of fragrant foliage.

Packaged in a charming green bottle with a foliage illustration on each, it really is a stunning launch and each scent is as exciting and memorable as the next. The five fragrances are:
Sorrel & Lemon Thyme, Wild Strawberry & Parsley, Nasturtium & Clover, Carrot Blossom & Fennel and Lavender & Coriander.

The two colognes I have been sniffing and spritzing recently are the Wild Strawberry & Parsley and Carrot Blossom & Fennel and I have fallen in love with both. They are so unique and different from any other perfume I have owned. Wild Strawberry & Parsley is a mingle of sweet, delectable strawberries and ripened blackcurrants mixed with the peppery bite of flat-leaf parsley. It is soft, sweet with a hint of earthiness. It really does conjure up memories of strawberry picking in the Summer when I was a little girl. Carrot Blossom & Fennel is refined yet whimsy giving you a distinctive twist of ripe carrots and fresh fennel. Rose and orange flower brightens the earthy carrot notes whilst the floral elegance of iris punctuates an unforgettable finish. This is such a unique scent and a love it or hate it kind of thing! I personally think it smells lovely (not too carrot-y!) and settles beautifully on the skin to a soft floral finish.

The whole Herb Garden collection is out now and available in the little 30ml cologne bottles - retailing at £44 each. Lavender is one of my favourite scents so I will definitely be checking out Lavender & Coriander next time I am passing a Jo Malone counter. Which cologne appeals to you?

Chloe Eau de Toilette Perfume

IMG_8107
IMG_8111
A fresh interpretation of the iconic signature scent - Chloe Eau de Toilette* (£42 -) | available online

Seven years ago a delicate rose unfurled in the fragrance world and gave us a sensual and powdery bouquet that was innovative and unique at the time. Chloe Eau de Parfum swiftly became an emblem of femininity and is still adored by fans now, all these years on. Today, however, Chloe begins a new chapter in its history and a new delicate scent is born - Chloe Eau de Toilette.

Delicate and elegant are the best words to describe this floral-infused fragrance with the white rose taking centre stage, adding a light and soft facet to the scent. Chloe Eau de Toilette manages to be musky, floral as well as fresh on the skin and I think that is all down to the clever composition of rose, bergamot, magnolia and the subtle hint of lemons - a rosy, dewy scent that is beautiful to spritz, day or night.  I love this fragrance a lot more than the original down to the fact it is a little softer and fresher on the skin and really highlights the infusion of white rose petals which is one of my favourite scents anyway. The bottle is a dream too and Chloe kept true to their signature inspiration and recreated the glass and metal bottle with those classic fortuny pleats and simple white tied ribbon around the neck. The pretty beige-rose hue of the liquid and divine packaging mirror the gorgeous scent which lies inside and is definitely worth a sniff if you are on the look out for a new perfume for the party season.

Modern Muse le Rouge Eau de Parfum

Extroverted, glamorous, sophisticated. Modern Muse le Rouge from Estee Lauder from (£45) | available online

I love the Estee Lauder fragrances. From Bronze Goddess to Modern Muse, there is something very appealing about their light, easy to wear scents encased in a selection of beautiful bottles, worthy to adorn any vanity table. Last year I shared with you the launch of Estee Lauder’s Modern Muse Eau de Parfum which is a sparkling citrus scent spiked with Jasmine and softened with creamy vanilla, musk and rich Amberwood. It's exotic, feminine and very pretty and definitely worth a sniff. However, if this sounds a little too sweet and girlie for you then the good news is that Estee Lauder have recently launched an updated version of this splendid scent – Modern Muse le Rouge which is a fruity, floral, oriental fragrance – still completely feminine but with a full, daring kick to it which makes it a little more robust and sexier than the original.

At the heart of this Eau de Parfum are the notes of Bulgarian rose, raspberry, blackcurrant and pink pepper. Saffron, Madagasgar vanilla, patchouli, vetiver, jasmine and magnolia also make a welcome appearance in this scent giving the whole fragrance a wonderful blend of rich roses, ripe fruit and velvety, creamy vanilla which all work perfectly together. I would say this fragrance is the perfect transitional scent as we creep into Winter as it feels warm, cosy and richly-spiced on the skin. It feels slightly more grown up than the original but still remains ageless and would definitely appeal to all age groups. If you love the idea of rich red roses and fruity accords, layered with a soft creamy base then I think this could be heading straight onto your Christmas list!

Michael Kors Gold Fragrance Collection

IMG_7371
IMG_7360
Michael Kors Gold Collection – White Luminous Gold, 24K Brilliant Gold & Rose Radiant Gold (from £33.50) | from Boots

Opulent, luxurious and glamorous. These are the three words that Michael Kors himself believes best describes the new Gold fragrance collection released last month. This next chapter in the MK fragrance story has been specifically created to reflect the opulence and luxury of the high prized metal – from white, rose and 24K gold. There is something undeniably luxe and glamorous about gold, from lustrous fabrics, gilded jewellery to sun-kissed skin, and Michael Kors believes these qualities fully embody the Michael Kors woman.

The three distinctive fragrances are joined together by their luxe, shiny metallic packaging but are all quite different when it comes to scent – offering a fragrance for every occasion, mood and personal aesthetic.

The White Luminous Gold fragrance is sparkling and sensuous. It combines an intoxicating burst of pear, jasmine and amber in a bright and exotic signature.

The 24K Brilliant Gold fragrance is feminine and seductive. It offers a shimmering scent of orange mandarin, voluptuous florals and a rousing spark of woodiness.

Finally the Rose Radiant Gold fragrance is tantalising and hypnotic. It entices you with a sparkling spice, textured with a charming femininity of rich florals and soft musks.

The gilded, sculpted bottles are striking in their appearance with their sleek, mirrored exterior and modern look. I love this trio of fragrances and think they look ridiculously fancy placed on my beauty table ready to spritzed as that final finishing touch to an outfit, much like adding your favourite gold necklace or pair of earrings to complete your look. I think my favourite is White Luminous Gold for the daytime as it feels light and fresh on the skin, but for an evening time scent, I have found myself reaching for Rose Radiant Gold because of its rich woody/spicy notes and musky finish.

Which gold scent has caught your eye?

The First Miu Miu Fragrance

IMG_7161
IMG_7165
IMG_7175
Miu Miu Eau de Parfum from £48 | available online

For such a prominent fashion brand that has had us revelling in glittery pumps, cute blouses, retro sunglasses and fun-patterned prints for over 15 years now, it is a little surprising that this is the first ever fragrance from the fashion house Miu Miu. A long time in the making, the Miu Miu Eau de Parfum has finally hit the shelves and has left many people nodding in agreement that it was definitely worth the wait.

Just like with their iconic fashion designs, Miu Miu wanted to create a fragrance with a quirky twist and that began from the bottle - a gorgeous, milky turquoise blue topped with a retro cherry-candy red lid that was inspired by the vintage caps women use to use to apply their fragrances with to their neck. The quilted design etched onto the blue bottle is reminiscent of Miu Miu's classic matelassé design, often seen on their classic handbags. As for the scent, Miu Miu was keen to create a fragrance that was different, unexpected and enjoyable and a far cry from those "safe", cliched designer perfumes. Lily of the Valley is the principle note you are faced with when you first spritz this eau de parfum, charming and appealing - drawing a parallel to the use of floral prints in a lot of Miu Miu's fashion work. Infused with this heady floral accord is a mix of jasmine, rose and Akigalawood, an extract of patchouli. Akigalawood was chosen as it adds an unexpected strangeness to the scent - you expect it to be earthy but in fact the result is spicy, peppery and vibrant. I think this is my favourite aspect of this perfume...that and the cute black-and-white cat called Truman that was used in the advertising campaign. In you dig through the archives you will find that Miu Miu loves a good cat motif in their designs and is often featured on shoes and coats.

I love this fragrance, from the bottle to the scent, and adore how it perfectly encapsulates everything that the Miu Miu brand stands for - playful, quirky, feminine and stylish yet strong and serious at the same time, and even contradictory. It certainly stands out visually on the perfume counters and is definitely worth a spritz next time you are passing by!

YSL Black Opium Eau De Toilette

Yves Saint Lauren Black Opium Eau de Toilette* (from £39) | available from Boots

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the beautiful packaging of this new fragrance from YSL?! Its opulence and rose-gold glitter exterior would be fit to adorn any Christmas Tree this winter. This is the new Black Opium Eau de Toilette from Yves Saint Laurent, markedly different to their Eau de Parfum which was released this time last year. It is described as mysterious, but sensual. Vibrant, yet with a new femininity at its heart.

Now this is truly the perfect Winter scent and it had me addicted at the very first spritz. The beautiful yet edgy combination of notes and accords give this fragrance a truly unique scent. The first notes that break through are fruity - a mix of zingy blackcurrant, juicy pear and bitter-sweet mandarin peel. These are closely followed by a fragrant, floral blend of jasmine tea and passionate orange blossom which gives the fragrance an invigorating heart and depth.

So far you would be right to believe that this sounds like your average, pretty floral/fruity fragrance...but then YSL surprise us with the breakthrough addition of coffee bean notes which shock and exhilarate your senses at first inhalation. Strong, flavoursome and rich coffee notes are teamed with creamy white musk, all underpinned with a white wood accord. It may sound odd but it really does work and gives the whole fragrance a deep, mysterious, daring scent combined with the lightness of florals and fruits. So if you need a wake-up call in the morning then put down your double espresso and just reach for this new scent!

Are you intrigued to take a sniff?

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever Eau de Parfum

Get lost in a dream with the new Marc Jacobs fragrance* (£59) | available from Boots

Whilst packing up my beauty essentials for my recent trip away to the gorgeous Greek island of Santorini I was faced with the onerous task of deciding what would be my holiday fragrance to take away with me. I always like to choose just one (saves room for duty free on the way home!) and something that will then continue to remind me of our happy trip away. The delivery of the new Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream eau de parfum could not have come at a better time as I was zipping up my suitcase and after one sniff and look at that translucent, swimming-pool-blue bottle, I knew it would be the perfect holiday scent. The aqua-hue of the packaging reminded me of the endless blue skies we would soon be sunning ourselves under and those iconic blue domes found along the rocky landscape of Santorini.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever is inspired by eternal blue skies, infinitely reaching and never-ending. It embodies the youthful reverie and ethereal charm of Marc's dream girl and is an elegant addition to the Daisy Dream family. I seem to fall in love with every new release from the Marc Jacobs fragrance range and this latest makeup-table-pleasing bottle is no exception. The scent is a little deeper than a lot of the sweet, soft, girlie perfumes that come from the Marc Jacobs Daisy family with the signature notes of blackberry, blue wisteria and white woods leaving a luxurious floralcy and velvety feel. The top notes of blackberry, grapefruit and pear are perfectly mixed with jasmine, lychee and blue wisteria to give us a really elegant scent. At the base of the perfume you will detect white woods, musks and coconut water which deepens the overall fragrance and adds a woody-sweetness which makes it a lovely scent to carry you from Summer into Autumn Winter.

Have you given this newest release a spritz and a sniff?

Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne

The new fragrance from Jo Malone. Mimosa & Cardamom Cologne* (from £42) | available online

"A new bohemia awaits. Mists of honeyed, golden mimosa float above the spiciness of freshly crushed cardamom. Warm, ethereal, mesmerising."

The latest scent story from Jo Malone has landed and it is a real treat. Mimosa and Cardamom is inspired by a longing of faraway places - a time during the Victorian era where British travellers explored the globe and brought back exotic treasures to fill their home. The fusion of the powdery, honeyed floral of mimosa with the spicy, fresh cardamom gives us a sensual, unique and adventurous scent that I have completely fallen in love with.

Now I tend to adore most new scents from Jo Malone but there is something particularly special about this newest release. It feels exotic and magical, the subtle spices and woody notes from the creamy tonka and sandalwood transport you to the spice markets of faraway lands whereas the honey-hued mimosa adds a warmth like the afternoon sun in late August. However this fragrance is very much an Autumn/Winter scent and is as comforting as early evening walks through crunchy, fallen leaves or hot, steaming mugs of cocoa in front of a log fire! I love the cologne but can imagine the candle would be particularly lovely also as a treat for your home as the Winter nights draw in.

The new Mimosa & Cardamom fragrance is available as a cologne, body and hand wash, body creme and candle so however you wish to enjoy this mesmerising scent, there is a product out there for you.
