TOPSHOP Beach Shack nail polish

TOPSHOP NAILS in Beach Shack £6
available in stores

I have been searching for the perfect yellow nail polish for sometime now, that little burst of sunshine for your nails, but all the ones I found were either too neon, or too pale or just not right! Just when I was just about to admit defeat I spotted this little gem in Topshop and thought I would give it a whirl. Even though the application isn't amazing (you need a good three coats to get a flawless solid colour) it is a wonderful sunflower-yellow shade that is so fun and cheery to wear. A great shade to brighten up a dreary day!

Sumptuous Cleansing Butter (£12) | Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover (£8)
Silky Cleansing Oil (£10) | Gentle Eye Makeup Remover (£8)*
Available in stores from 20th August 2013

The Body Shop have been busy bees this Summer, releasing new makeup collections left, right and centre but what goes on, must come off which is where this latest skincare range may come in handy! Removing layers of foundation and stubborn waterproof mascara can be a real task and often leave you red skinned and puffy eyed which is why this new camomile makeup removal range is a must for your bathroom cabinet. Enriched with the ultra-effective yet beautifully gentle, calming camomile these products are super tough on makeup but leave your skin feeling soft and cleansed. All hail the petal power!

I have been very impressed with all these products, particularly the waterproof makeup remover which literally dissolves your eye makeup instantly with no rubbing required. But the real hero of this range is definitely the sumptuous cleansing butter. It is one of the best cleansing butter/balms I have ever used and miraculously melts away your day's makeup so effortlessly and quickly. It hasn't left my shower since I started using it and is the perfect lazy girl's option to cleanse and nourish the skin in one easy step. This is one product I will definitely be purchasing when the range is released later this month.

When it comes to makeup remover, do you prefer a balm or an oil? Will you be sampling any of this new collection from The Body Shop?

Clinique Fresh Bloom All Over Colour Almond Blossom Blend blush* £26
available online and in stores

Don't you just love a multi-purpose beauty product that can effortlessly gives you a flush of colour, a contoured cheek and a luminous radiance, all in one simple sweep of the powder. Clinique's new Almond Blossom Blend blush is a gorgeously warm, bronze shimmer which adds colour and a golden glow to your skin, sheer enough for a subtle sheen but completely buildable if you want a more noticeable colour (as above). So finely milled, the shimmer in this powder isn't at all chunky or unflattering on the skin but gives you an almost airbrushed finish when you apply it. And it's amazingness doesn't just stop at your cheeks however, you can also easily use this blush to highlight and bronze down your nose and along your temple to get you sun-kissed in seconds! The fact that it instantly illuminates and adds warmth to my cheeks in one easy sweep means that it is my go to cheek product when time isn't my friend and I want a quick perk-me-up for my skin. If you prefer the pinker shades for your cheeks then there is another Fresh Bloom blush available in Peony Blend which is just as shimmery, slightly rosier and equally as lovely to use. Definitely another one for my never-ending wishlist!

wearing Morning Dew on my cheeks | MAC Creme Cup lipstick | ROMWE tee

Topshop cream to powder blushes £6 each
available online and in stores

It may come as a surprise that my once lipstick obsession has been overtaken by a greater beauty force - the cream blusher. Recently I have been stockpiling these cream to powder beauties left, right and centre and my most recent splurge saw me leave with not one but three new blushers from Topshop. For the summer you can't beat the slightly dewy, luminous and light finish of a cream blusher and I was pleased to add this colourful trio to my stash otherwise consumed with Stila Convertibles, YSL Creme de Blush and Bourjois' new cream blushes, with a few MAC ones thrown in for good measure!

The Topshop cream blushers are lovely to use, very buildable with a true cream-to-powder finish. Even though they leave the skin with a subtle dewiness, they are probably the most 'powdery' product out of my entire cream blush collection. I tend to just use my fingertips to apply these blushers; simply dabbing and smoothing the cream formula onto the apples of my cheeks. Morning Dew is by far my favourite - a cute pinky-coral that gives you a gorgeous flush but Head Over Heels is the perfect peachy-hue if you need a peach addition in your collection. At only £6 each, and with some pretty polka-dot packaging to boot, these are such a fab product I am already dreaming of my next purchase. Neon Rose perhaps?

Jumpsuit - ROMWE
Sandals - Primark
Earrings - Accessorize
Lipstick - YSL Rouge Volupte No.7

I was absolutely thrilled when my latest ROMWE delivery arrived earlier this week and the jumpsuit I had been mentally styling ever since I ordered it was just as perfect as I had hoped. I love everything from the deep side pockets, the double straps and the gorgeous pastel-green colour and is the ideal length to wear with my treasured strappy sandals. I felt very Carrie Bradshaw as I stepped out last night for dinner, especially with the crazy curls I am embracing at the moment. I am trying to give my hair a break from the straighteners and hair dryer, to give it a little health-kick, so am letting it dry au naturel. It has been nearly three weeks now since I last subjected it to any heat and I have to say that the difference is amazing! It feels stronger, looks shinier and is softer than ever, as well as having a little growth spurt too. Long may the heat-hiatus continue...

I hope you are all well and are having super weekends!

Organic Surge Eye Gel

Organic Surge Eye Gel* £8.49
available online

I love the Summer. I love the bright mornings, balmy nights, the excuse for an ice cream at anytime of the day and the abundance of floaty fabrics that consume my wardrobe. However, one thing I don't love about the Summer is hay fever! Just the mention of a picnic or a walk through the fields sends me into a sniffing, weeping mess complete with puffy eyes and red nose. One of my lifesavers this season has definitely been the Organic Surge Eye Gel which has been a welcome relief for my hay-fever-irritated eyes. It is an extremely lightweight gel that is quickly absorbed into the skin and instantly refreshes and rejuvenates the eye area, banishes any redness or puffiness. Packed full of lovely natural ingredients this eye gel is such a dream, whether you suffer from hay fever or not. The green tea extract reduces inflammation, the aloe vera naturally calms and moistures the skin whilst the menthol reduces puffiness, so is a great option to give you wide awake eyes in the morning or as a soothing treatment before bed.

Top tip: Keep it in the fridge and you are in for a refreshing, cooling sensation every time you apply!

Topshop GLOW highlighter in Gleam £9

Cream highlighters have become such an essential part of my daily summer makeup recently that I am building up quite a collection of products to highlight and glisten the skin with a natural glow. I love a dewy, radiant finish to my daytime makeup and always favour bronzed and golden highlighters over pearly, champagne shades which is why Topshop's GLOW highlighter in Gleam instantly appealed to me. Creamy, lightweight and nicely pigmented, Gleam has a luxurious mousse-like consistency that easily blends into the skin. This beautiful golden cream has a lovely lustre without being too shimmery or glittery and can be used through your brow bone, on your cupid's bow or along your cheekbones to really compliment a simple, bronzed look. A perfect pot of sunshine all year round!
