Whilst having a makeup area revamp the other day, it dawned on me that I have managed to amass six of Benefit's popular boxed powders. Blusher is something I evidently cannot say no to and my collection is brimming with pretty powders of all shades and finishes. There is something so appealing about these robust yet ever so charming boxes from Benefit Cosmetics; housing a plethora of gorgeous powders. Some have become absolute trusted favourites of mine whilst others have led to a little disappointment, and are definitely prettier in the pan.
Dallas - a reddy-brown powder that gives you that outdoors flush with a simple sweep of the blush. I really like this boxed powder, not so much for contouring or bronzing, but for giving my face a warm glow and that healthy "i've just been galloping through the fields on my pony' type radiance.
Coralista - a rio carnival in a box. This is by far one of my favourite blushers from Benefit and beyond. A soft coral-pink with golden peach shimmer. Just divine and perfect for a sunshine complexion. This gorgeous powder is a tropical treat for the cheeks, a definite blush crush.
Hoola - evidently one of my most loved powders. This bronzer is great for contouring, dusting your skin with a matte finish and no glitter, sparkles or shimmer. This warming powder is highly pigmented but thankfully blends really easily if you get a bit too heavy-handed on application.

Sugarbomb - maybe one of my most anticipated purchases but probably the one that prompted the most disappointment. A shimmering mosaic of soft plum, peach, pink and rose, these powders can be used alone or swirled together for a sugar rush flush. Sadly I don't love the finish of this powder on my skin - I find it far too shimmery and not pigmented enough. On me, it is more of a pretty highlighter than a full on cheek colour.
10 - this bronzing and highlighting duo literally has my love split in half. On one side the highlighter is lovely, a silvery satin-pink powder that gives the cheeks such a pretty dusting. As for the bronzer, I really should love it as it has a gorgeous golden sheen, but unfortunately it didn't do much for me. For contouring it isn't very pigmented and is a far cry away from Hoola.
Thrrrob - a pale cool pink with silver glitter, this (discontinued) powder is very pretty but very subtle, purposefully designed to be an all over face powder rather than a blush. The silver sparkles are chunky, and again it isn't that pigmented so it is more apt as a pinky-silver highlighter than anything else.
Benefit boxed powders are all 10g -12g and retail at £23.50, which can seem like a lot of dollar to pay, but compared to MAC blushers for example (6g for £17.50) you are getting a lot more for your money. I really like these products, they are fun with their cute girlie designs and the boxes make for perfect portability! All I would say is that the mini brushes that come with the powders are pretty redundant and I always discard mine right away.

great post milly! hoola is definitely my favourite, i've got dallas, dandelion and coralista too! i found dandelion to be like thrrrob, more of an all over face powder, but after rediscovering a free kabuki style brush with rimmel which picks up the colour really well i can finally wear it as a blusher!
Fab post Milly! I have a hard time saying no to blushers too, still don't know why i have fifty same shades of baby pink.. I tried to love Hoola but i look like i've slung mud on my face, love being pale ay! Benefit always bring out the mini box sets each christmas containing three of the box powders in one, and so far i'm loving Coralista, it really is Rio Carnival in a box -love it! xxx
Embarrassingly I don't own ANY Benefit blushers :(! I'd absolutely love to though, although my student bank account doesn't quite agree. I am really fancying Coralista at the moment, or maybe Hoola xxx
I love hoola! xx
Hoola and Coralista are my fave. :) x

I absolutely adore 10! It's perfect on my skin and the bronzer is quite pigmented on me...I am very pale though!
I'm a huge fan of Benefit's boxed blushers/bronzers too! I'd have to agree that Hoola is the best and I really want to try Dallas now too! xx
These are so cute! I've never tried any Benefit powders but really want to now!
Hoola is my make-up bag staple! I don't think I'll ever stop loving it, been using it for years!

I only own Dandelion and Thrrrob but I really want to get my hands on Hervana to add to my Benefit collection. I do like these blushes but the packaging is bulky and more often than not I can't fit a benefit blush in my makeup bag so I use something else. I'd prefer the packaging to be more slimline but still the amount of product you get, just less packaging.

I swear by Coralista! I think the colour is amazing and it smells gorgeous. I love smelling it on my face all day :)
I also use Dallas as a contouring powder but I think it can be tricky to use because sometimes the colour can make you look almost muddy :/
I really enjoyed this post, gave me a good insight into all of the Benefit powders!
