cross my heart

Dress - Topshop (sale)
Boots - Topshop
Jewellery - Accessorize and This Charming Girl

Last Saturday night, I got dressed up and went out for dinner and drinks in London to celebrate the birthday of my gorgeous friend Claire. It was a really fun night; especially finishing the night drinking cocktails at Kanaloa Club, a tropical paradise in the heart of the city. I managed to scavenge this dress from the depleting rail of sale items in Topshop and, despite it being a size too big, think it looked really nice on. I love crushed velvet and its oh so strokable lure, but have never braved velvet leggings before. Therefore this dress was a nice introduction of velvet into my wardrobe.

I am scooting off to see the Woman in Black tonight at the cinema with Rob. I have seen the stage show at the rickety Fortune Theatre and thought it was brilliant, so atmospheric and shriek-inducing. I am really looking forward to watching the film and seeing how they compare. Let me know if you've seen it and what you thought.

Love the velvet dress in that colour. It looks so 'rich' and luxurious.

Hope you enjoy the film, have been thinking of going to see that myself.

Great blog by the way, I am a new follower xx

Eee I absolutely love the colour of your dress Milly! Sounds like you had a lovely night (: Hope you enjoy Woman in Black, the trailer terrified me so I don't fancy my chances against seeing the film! xx

This is a stunning outfit and is so different from what you usually post, I love it. So jealous, I too went to see the stage show of the woman in black and loved it but so worried that the film will ruin it. xx :o)

This is such a pretty dress! When I figure skate, we wear some velvet dresses, but I have yet to try velvet dresses for everyday clothes.

Love the look. Very Sarah Michelle Gellar in Cruel Intentions.

I'm just back from seeing Woman in Black myself and I've also seen the stage show. Think the film does really well. My heart was racing all the way through! Think the play was better (didn't like the ending of the film) but I still screamed all the way through.

Kanaloa is GREAT for Bday parties, the only issue I have with it is that I have always problems getting there! ;) Plus, there are no other clubs nearby if the DJ is dreadful. Did you see the fire display? :)

You looked great too, loving the statement lips! X
