Earlier this Summer Clinique launched eight stunning new lipsticks to make up their new long last soft matte lipstick range which offers a long-wearing formula to give you that "just-applied" look for hours after the first application. The three shades I have been testing out are bold and fun and are such a nice addition to my collection. From left to right we have 45. Matte Crimson, 46. Matte Mandarin and 49. Matte Magenta.
These new Long Last Soft Matte lipsticks (£18), available on counters and online, are beautifully pigmented and apply so nicely with their smooth, creamy consistency. The finish is matte but with a slightly velvety texture too which makes them very comfortable to wear and they don't dry your lips out like some matte lipsticks can. They are in fact very flattering to wear with no dryness or cracked lips in sight. They feel moisturising and soft and the colour did stay put for a good few hours, clinging on admirably well through a night of dinner and drinks. My absolute favourite from this trio of brights is 46. Matte Mandarin, a real shot of bold tangerine mixed with a slightly warm red tone to give you a very flattering, unique shade. Perfect for a night out paired with bronzed skin and simple, smoky eyes. It isn't too dissimilar to MAC's Morange which is another one of my favourites. But for those that prefer something a little more muted, Clinique haven't forgotten about you and have a couple of really pretty shades for a softer look as well - Matte Peony and Matte Suede to mention but a few. Definitely worth a look if you are after a new lipstick that is going to last well on the lips and give you a soft matte finish.

I love Clinique products and these shades look great! The only thing I don't really like is the packaging. It kind of reminds me of baked bean cans once you've taken the labels off! x

Saw these at my local stands and they are stunning! Crimson especially.
My favourite is Matte Mandari nas well, my eye immediately went to it! I'm having a real red-orange moment at the minute, I can see this finding it's way into my collection.
