Italy and beauty are two words that seem synonymous with each other. It is hard to think of this magnificent Mediterranean country without conjuring up images of iconic scenery, alluring women, effortlessly chic clothing and heavenly food. The latest beautiful thing from Italy to grace our English soils is the makeup artist brand Diego Dalla Palma; risen from the irresistibly stylish Milan back in the 1970s and now making waves over here in the UK. The range is extensive, offering over 250 products for the face, nails and body, with one focus in mind - to enhance women's natural beauty in a classic, elegant fashion whilst transforming imperfection into an irresistible characteristic.

Their lipstick range alone boasts an unlimited array of colours and textures, giving us an assortment of shades from daring reds, vivid pinks to soft nudes and browns. Every texture is covered too, letting us toy with retro frosts, striking mattes and pretty sheer finishes.

Diego Della Palma The Lipstick in...

32, orange pink - Think MAC's costa chic without the frostiness and you end up with this lipstick. It is very warming on the lips and its subtle colour payoff means it may be the wearable orange you have been searching for.

34, frost deep pink - Possibly my favourite out of the three - it maintains its smooth, rich consistency whilst giving us a delicate sprinkling of sparkle mixed in with a luscious sophisticated pink. Not too baby doll or bluey-undertoned. Just perfect.

37, light brick - So aptly described, this lipstick brings all the density and rich brick-red colour you would expect from its name. With its orange-brown tones and not confused by any shimmer or frost, it is a true colour that gives a new dimension to the 'classic' red lipstick.

I really was impressed with these lipsticks; gorgeous colours, lovely consistency and brilliant staying power. They have a rich, creamy texture which sinks into the lips and leaves them soft with a subtle sheen. The formula is enriched with UVA filters and vitamin E to to ensure a long-lasting moisturising effect, whilst the small collagen spheres penetrate the lip lines to make them appear fuller and smoother. I flinched a bit at the price, and would probably love them a little bit more if they were a few pounds cheaper, but equally - I do think their price tag is justified, based on the three I tried. Belissimo!

I've not heard of this brand before and whilst they do look beautiful on your lips I'd be a bit reluctant to pay the full price. Definitely a payday treat! xx

I've just found your blog, and read the 'about you' bit, we are very similar.

I love all of the colours you have shown here, I haven't actually tried this particular brand before, but they look really good, so I may give it a try.

The pink is beautiful. I think I got DPP in one of my Carmine boxes and was quite impressed with it there, so I'm not surprised to see it looking fantastic here, although your shades are way nicer!

You wear all 3 really well, I think the first one is my favourite :)

These colours are gorgeous and all 3 look great on you. I'm tempted by orange pink because it seems like a good first step into attempting to wear more orangey lipsticks. :) x

Ooo, they all look so wearable! Definitely spying the orange pink; I find it so hard to find an orange shade that suits me but this looks very promising...:)
