Cocosa Sale - Rodial

cocosa sale - rodial
cocosa sale - rodial

Stand by your beds, the latest sale from Cocosa is a good'un and the early bird definitely catches the worm with this one. At 6am this morning, the Rodial sale went live and we can expect up to 65% off many of the cult products from this celebrity loved, skincare brand. Rodial combines the best anti-ageing and firming ingredients in order to deliver targeted treatments for specific skin concerns such as wrinkles, stretch marks and cellulite. Rodial has accumulated quite an A-list following with the likes of Victoria Beckham, Sienna Miller and SJP all turning to Rodial to resolve their skincare woes.

Two exciting products that will be in the sale today are Rodial's Boob Job cream and their Body Sculpture formula, both boasting dramatic discounts. Rodial's Boob Job (originally £127 now £64) is a concentrated formula that helps improve the look of the bust and décolleté area. Although obviously not proven to give you the same results as surgery, the micro fibres and wheat protein help moisturise and tone the bust area. Rodial's cult classic Body Sculpture (reduced from £98 to £20!) is an intensive gel that works to enhance the appearance and moisturise skin in problem areas. The look of thighs, bottoms and upper arms can be improved with this fast-acting formula when massaged onto the body in upward motions. All I can report so far is that they both smell amazing and Boob Job has this wonderully tingling sensation when applied. I will be monitoring their effectiveness closely over the next few weeks!

If you have always lusted after some Rodial skincare but possibly winced at their prices then the Cocosa sale could be the perfect opportunity to indulge. Just sign up and get shopping. Do let me know if you take advantage of the sale today!

Accessorize Enchanted Eau de Toilette

Accessorize fragrance
Accessorize fragrance

Accessorize Enchanted Fragrance* £15 (50ml)
- available from Boots, The Perfume Shop and Accessorize

Along with their new beauty range brimming with nail, lip and eye products, Accessorize's new collection also sees the launch of several individual fragrances to delight and enchant your senses. Embellished with their trademark butterfly-print this chunky glass bottle, topped with a crystal-like faceted lid, looks pretty as a picture and sits perfectly on my dressing table.

Enchanted is a lovely sweet, fruity perfume enriched with tones of ripe raspberries, candy floss, soft Jasmine and rose. When it comes to perfumes, sweet and fruity ticks all the right boxes for me and means this fragrance is such an easy, light scent to wear day or night. With supporting notes of subtle chocolate musk, vanilla and sandalwood, it gives the perfume some depth which stops it being too sickly or sugary. I have been addicted to showering myself with this every morning and love the delicious scent that lingers...momentarily. It doesn't quite have the lasting power of a higher end fragrance, but for £15 it is the perfect perfume for popping in your handbag and spritzing whenever the occasion calls for a fragrant burst of raspberries fields and fairground treats!

Have you tried anything from the new Accessorize beauty range?

Emjoi Lady Roto Shave* £49.95
- available from selected Boots stores and online

First off I must just say wow, this piece of gadgetry is incredible and gives me the closest, smoothest shave I have ever experienced. Not really one for fancy technology, I have always happily opted for basic razors to keep the fuzz at bay but I was excited to give this a whirl. It is the latest innovation in hair removal that promises to give you a quicker, closer shave that effectively leaves your skin silky smooth without fuss or effort.

The battery-operated Lady Roto Shave has nine rotating blades that uniquely spin 360 degrees at an impressive 30 times per second. Making contact with the skin a crazy 270 times every second guarantees a wonderfully close, clean shave and beautifully smooth skin. It is completely water resistant with an ergonomically designed, rubber grip handle making it perfect to use in the bath or shower and easy to clean. The blades are encased in spiral protection bindings in a bid to minimise the risk of nicks, cuts and irritation.

Batteries inserted, skin test done, I was ready to get rotating. At first I was a bit hesitant - the angry whirl of the blades can be a bit daunting but I pressed on and applied a thin layer of shaving foam to my legs. The beauty of this razor is that you don't just have to shave up and down but can glide it over your skin in any which direction you like. The sensation is quite odd to begin with but you slowly get use to it and you start to sense how much pressure you can apply to get the closest shave. For particularly stubborn areas you can move the Roto Shave in circular motions on the skin to ensure all hair is removed, much like an electric razor men would use for their beards. It is particularly handy when faced with tricky areas such as under your arms as you can angle the razor and shave in different directions. My skin felt extremely smooth afterwards and I suffered no irritations or cuts. I'm not saying it is impossible to nick yourself when using the Rota Shave but it seems like it would be quite hard with this device due to its protection barrier and easy use. Also, due to the closeness of the shave, I felt I had a few extra days fuzz-free before I had to shave again!

What you splurge on something like this or do you save to shave?

Topshop lipstick - secret admirer

Topshop lipstick in Secret Admirer £8

I cannot be held responsible for this latest lipstick purchase. It was all Kate's fault. Kate and her wonderful wishlist making me aware of this new lip colour from Topshop. It is no secret that I love the Topshop makeup range and often find myself more excited by the cosmetics than the clothes these days. This shade is described as a warm nude. It is a lovely soft pink with muted nude tones and is utterly beautiful. The consistency is smooth and moisturising and leaves the lips with a subtle sheen.

As I was perusing the Topshop makeup stand I noticed that Pillow Talk was back in the range. Originally a limited edition product, it seems Topshop have come to their senses and rightly given it pride of place in their main collection. In the same family as Secret Admirer, Pillow Talk is a slightly darker, warmer pink with a striking similarity to MAC's Creme Cup.

Are you a (secret) admirer of this lipstick?

PS. I drew the winner of my MAC giveaway tonight and can announce that Jessica Leigh is the lucky winner. Congratulations - I will drop you an email. Thank you to everyone who entered and I will have another giveaway up for you all very soon!

PPS. I reached 7,000 readers today and I am just over the moon. Thank you all so much for supporting and reading my blog. Your comments and constant engagement makes me so happy and I feel very privileged to have such a fabulous bunch of readers :)

Cocosa Sale - Illume candles

illume candles

From the moment the wick is alight, there is instantly an air of serenity and a comforting haze that is reaped from a scented candle. For me, it is one of life's little pleasures and I wouldn't be without my stockpile of assorted candles, all different shapes, sizes and scents - some sophisticated, some not so much! Whether they are accompanying me for a long, hot bubble bath or casting a flickering light beside me as I blog, I cannot get enough of the soothing qualities a scented candle can bring.

It is unsurprising then that I am very excited about the latest Cocosa sale launching tomorrow which will see a range of Illume candles and diffusers on sale for up to 52% off. Illume offers an extensive array of gorgeously fragranced candles and diffusers to suit all moods and occasions, with their earthy bohemian packaging and eclectic mix of scents. The tangerine teakwood candle particularly appeals to me with its zesty harmony of citrus and woody tones and touch of vanilla. The candle was £28, but is now £18 on the Cocosa site! Another intriguing product from the Illume range is the pineapple cilantro diffuser, which is a bold fusion between sweet pineapple and fresh cilantro. Sounds gorgeous and with £15 off, it is definitely a very juicy deal!

Do let me know if you take advantage of this latest sale from Cocosa.

In between sunbathing and scoffing numerous ice creams, we managed to raise ourselves from the beach and head to the local markets to see what gems we could unearth. I loved scouring the series of stalls knowing full well that an eagle-eye and a few euros will lead to a really unique piece. I fell in love with the tribal-esque collar necklace instantly and knew it would be perfect paired with a cream dress and sun-kissed skin. The cracked stone ring was an obviously purchase as I am drawn like a magpie to all things turquoise and it was a triumph when I discovered the faux retro casio watch - the exact style I had been pining after for ages!

Do you go mad for the markets when on holiday?

I am back from an amazing eight days spent on the beautiful beaches of Spain with my dear friend Linzi. We whittled away the hours basking in the sun, stirring only to sample the delectable array of ice cream flavours or cool ourselves in the glistening blue sea. To say it was heavenly would be an understatement. Linzi, who has a holiday home over in the Cabo Roig region, was the perfect hostess and showed me the sights as well as making sure we sampled some pretty fine food in the evenings. The chocolate fudge cake featured was the most incredible chocolate fudge cake I have ever tasted.

The holiday went by in a whirlwind of hazy mornings, eclectic market stalls and unrelenting heat. We hired a car so I became very well acquainted with the right hand side of the road as we took a trip to the nearby shopping mecca to get our retail therapy fix! In every way, the break was just what we wanted and needed it to be and I could of cried when I was awoken by the dulcet tones of my alarm clock this morning. Take me back to the beach!
